A combo of form, function, and ingredients.

Soft Services While everyone welcomed the summer solstice in mid-June, Team Soft Services boarded a short commercial flight bound for the Buffing Bar workshop. 75 oz miracle bar. Scroll on for the fine formula points that make Buffing Bar one-of-a-kind. WHAT IT IS Buffing Bar is a physical exfoliating brick made of mineral microcrystals that are compressed in a moisturizing, soothing base.

It’s intended for targeted use on the body only, for areas that are uneven in texture and prone to ingrown hairs. Certified Buffers® in our community have compared its effects to that of: magic erasers, Korean spa scrubs, and sandpaper. FORM In our humble opinion, a body scrub in solid bar form is superior.

Buffing Bar’s exfoliant particles are evenly compressed within its base, allowing you to target your concern areas with equal polishing power throughout the entire lifespan of the bar. Its brick-like compactness also eliminates the need to fuss with jar packaging (and the risk of diluting your scrub due to water exposure) in the shower.

FUNCTION The combination of Buffing Bar’s solid form and moderate-to-intense scrubbing power would probably be quite harsh without its ability to lather and suds up . This allows for the bar to effortlessly glide against your skin, without tugging or irritating. Buffing Bar may look like a soap and act like a soap, though we don’t recommend replacing your regular cleanser with it.

Physical scrubs perform their best on already clean skin, and scrubbing too intensely and too frequently can do more harm than good. A few buffs a week, after your normal cleansing step in the shower, will do the trick. INGREDIENTS But what’s this blue brick actually made of? It’s a combination of moisture and texture. 1 GLYCERIN ALOE 2 SHEA BUTTER 3 MICROCRYSTALS 1.

Glycerin and aloe are hydrating humectants, protecting the skin from that stripped, squeaky-clean feeling common with bar soaps. 2. Shea butter is an emollient that is adored by dry-skinned folks far and wide for its skin-softening and conditioning abilities. 3. Microcrystals, specifically alumina and magnesium oxide, are naturally-occurring minerals that are super-fine, uniform in size, and work together at sloughing off built-up dead, dry skin.
