Trivia Study Guide: Part 4 of 4
Before there was a Soft Services, we had to fend for ourselves. While steering through life surrounded by peak Y2K marketing (AKA “the trenches”), heavily perfumed and aggressively astringent washes, scrubs, and lotions were all that we knew. Unsurprisingly, they didn’t do much for us—in some cases, it aggravated our concerns further. With our desire for answers, we went where all desperate souls go: Reddit.
And after diving through the depths of endless threads dedicated solely to strawberry skin and learning that over 16 million people also Google “keratosis pilaris” each year, we realized: everyone wasn’t perfectly smooth and clear, like we’ve been made to believe. In 2019, we set out on the road less traveled.
In 2021, Soft Services was officially born, with just 3 intentional, results-driven, and fragrance-free products, specifically for those who wanted to address their KP, strawberry skin, ingrown hair, and rough, dry skin. Since then, we’ve continued on our quest of providing solutions to other body skin concerns that have traditionally been ignored, taboo, and shameful to discuss.
We didn't think this was cause for embarrassment then and we don’t think so now, and we have the receipts to prove it. Our community ranges from students struggling with body breakouts; millennials in need of a low-effort, high-performance routine; folks advancing in age looking to nurture their skin; and those in between. When evaluating Soft Services’ success thus far, we go straight to the source—you.
And according to you, the results are so significant that others in your life take notice. For example, Michelle whose... Tafarii attests that...
