co inbox. Today’s questions are answered by Karina, our CX and Operations Manager. Can Buffing Bar be used in place of soap? Good question! While it is bar soap shaped, Buffing Bar is an exfoliating brick. Think body scrub, minus plastic packaging, minus the slimy mess. Although Buffing Bar produces suds to help the bar glide on the skin, it is not meant to replace your normal body soap/wash.
It’s meant to be used as a targeted treatment 2-3 times a week (my personal sweet spot is twice), though the tougher/rougher humans may be able to handle more frequent use. What ingredient makes Smoothing Solution calming and gentle for daily use? Smoothing Solution is an exfoliating gel serum for body skin below the neck. or all over, like I do) post-shower on clean, dry skin. Follow-up with your body moisturizer of choice.
A little bit goes a looong way, as the gel is so easy to spread—a thin layer is all that’s needed for full efficacy of the formula. I recommend following up with Carea Cream, for one more layer of gentle exfoliation to achieve silky soft skin for summer 2023 and beyond. I’m having trouble with assembling the locking pump, it’s stuck in the locked position. Not to fret, there’s a trick to it! Twisting the neck of the pump really really tight onto the bottle is crucial.
This will lock it in place so that when you then twist the spout left toward the “open” position, it will unlock. co) or send a dm and I’ll get a replacement out to you asap. How can I reuse my pump and/or mister component? Once you’ve emptied your product, head over to the recycling section on our website to learn how to clean your non-recyclable components.

Thanks for caring! 🌎 Which moisturizer is best for me? Do I need both? Both are heavy-hitter body moisturizers in their own unique way.
While you do not need both, having Speed Soak and Carea Cream in your arsenal will ensure you can address your skin’s needs at any given time. Customers who use both formulas switch off between their morning and night time routines, while others switch off depending on the season. Speed Soak is a hydrating gel-cream, quick absorbing for when you are in a rush and for folks who lead active lifestyles.
Those living in a humid climate or experiencing a muggy NYC summer may also be swayed to opt for a lighter texture. This formula will quench dehydrated and tight skin, leaving it comforted and refreshed. Carea Cream has a more moisturizing base, for combo to dry body skin types. As a part of the Smoothing Set (along with Buffing Bar and Smoothing Solution), it is a daily maintenance lotion that addresses rough/bumpy skin, kp and dryness.
Unlike Speed Soak, which does not contain any exfoliating ingredients, Carea Cream is formulated with 10% urea that gently exfoliates by loosening keratin build-up (the protein that clogs pores and leads to bumps forming). Extremely dry skin and body care enthusiasts enjoy layering the two formulas (Speed Soak first, then Carea Cream to lock in moisture). Can I use Smoothing Solution and Clearing Mist in the same routine?
Our range focuses on addressing body skin concerns at percentages that are proven efficacious while also being gentle. That said, using too many different active ingredients (such as exfoliating acids) on the same target areas may not mesh well and can result in potential irritation. Feel free to use our more active products on different areas of the body though when targeting the same area, try to space the products apart in your AM and PM routine.
For example, if targeting your chest, you can use Smoothing Solution at night and Clearing Mist in the morning. For those with sensitive skin (you’ve probably heard this before but I’m happy to remind you)... please do a patch test when introducing a new product into your routine to be sure your skin agrees with the formula before applying it to the wider concern area(s). Oh! And please always wear sunscreen on areas that are exposed to the sun.
